Nevada State College offers affordable, pay-by-the-course tuition for both in- and out-of-state students. The RN to BSN online track has an in-state tuition of $8,010 (including fees) and an out-of-state tuition of $8,900 (including fees), plus a one-time $30 application fee.

Financial Aid

With access to numerous federal and school-based financial aid resources, don't let finances be a barrier to your education and career goals.
Our online RN to BSN track is financial aid eligible. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours per semester and meet any other financial aid requirements.
Students who wish to apply for Federal & State financial aid must complete a FAFSA application as early as possible, 4-6 weeks before the intended Start Date if at all possible.

The admission process is the first step toward earning your online degree at Nevada State College. Please review the admission guidelines carefully.

- Current RN license within seven weeks of acceptance
- Associate degree or diploma from a regionally accredited nursing program
- Minimum 2.0 GPA on previous coursework
Admission Requirements
The admission process is the first step toward earning your online degree. Applicants must meet the following requirements to be eligible for admission:
- Associate degree or diploma from a regionally accredited nursing program.
- Current, unencumbered RN license. The license must be maintained and unencumbered throughout the course of the track.
- Recent graduates must obtain RN license within seven weeks of acceptance.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
- Copy of government issued identification.
Applicants to the RN to BSN track will receive admission decisions within 24 to 48 hours.
Nevada State College is authorized to offer online education to students in Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Vermont through the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA).
Students are required to hold an active, unencumbered license in the state in which they reside and/or in the state where the student's practice experiences will occur. These states must be listed as approved above.

Courses
Read about our online RN to BSN track curriculum
The RN to BSN online curriculum includes 12 courses totaling 36 credit hours, including an online practice experience for program synthesis. All courses are in either a 7-week or 8-week format.
In addition to the nursing courses, some general education courses may be required for completion. These courses include CH 203, ENG 102, and MATH 120. If applicable, students may block transfer ADN credits.*
*Students may block transfer in 38 credits earned at the completion of an associate degree in nursing from an accredited community college or four-year university. A maximum of nine credit hours (MATH 120, ENG 102 and CH 203) may be needed to satisfy the general education requirement. Students will also receive 37 Prior Learning Credits for prior nursing coursework and successful completion of the NCLEX.
